Business Payment Decision Makers - Australia

Project Type: Web Survey

Honorarium: 40 USD

Time Commitment: 20 mins

Description

We are conducting a study, on behalf of an institutional client, into how Australian businesses accept and process online payments. We are looking to speak with professionals based in Australia who have influence over payment decisions within their organisation — this includes founders, owners and partners, C-suite leaders such as CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CTOs, CPOs and CMOs, as well as VPs, directors, heads of function and managers working in finance, operations, product, engineering and IT, marketing or sales. Roles with direct payments ownership are especially relevant, including payments and payment operations managers, treasury, financial operations and revenue operations managers, and e-commerce or digital commerce managers. We are focused on smaller and mid-sized organisations, broadly those with up to around 250 employees and annual revenues up to approximately one million US dollars. If decisions about how your company takes payments online sit with you, or you are one of the people consulted before such a decision is made, we would value your perspective.

The survey explores how businesses like yours approach online payment acceptance and processing. Themes include how payment needs are currently met, how providers and solutions are evaluated and selected, the criteria that matter most when making or reviewing those choices, and the practical considerations around cost, reliability, integration and customer experience. We also cover general awareness and perceptions of payment providers in the market, satisfaction with current arrangements, and the circumstances under which businesses review, add or change providers. The aim is to build a clear, aggregated picture of decision-making in this area. There are no right or wrong answers and we are not testing your knowledge — we are interested in your own experience and judgement as a decision maker or influencer.

The study is an online survey of approximately 20 minutes, comprising a mix of multiple-choice and short-answer questions, with a small number of open text responses. It can be completed on desktop or mobile at a time that suits you, and does not require a phone or video call. Fieldwork is running from early September 2026 and participation is on a first-come basis while the study remains open. Participants who complete the survey and meet the eligibility criteria receive an honorarium of USD 40.00. All responses are treated confidentially and reported only in aggregate; nothing you share will be attributed to you or your employer.
