Equipment Rental

Project Type: Voice Survey

Honorarium: 300 USD

Time Commitment: 15 mins

Description

We are conducting a study on the United States equipment rental market on behalf of an institutional client of Woozle Research. We are looking to speak with professionals working at equipment rental companies across the US who have direct visibility into their branch, regional or company-wide rental activity — for example branch and regional managers, fleet or operations managers, sales leadership, or owners and executives at independent and regional rental businesses. Respondents should be able to speak knowledgeably about the composition of their rental fleet and revenue mix across categories such as aerial work platforms, forklifts and material handling, general construction equipment and specialty lines, as well as the end markets they serve, including non-residential construction and industrial customers. We welcome participants from all regions of the country, from the Midwest, Northeast, South and West. We are unable to include employees of a small number of the largest national rental chains, but professionals at independent, regional and other national operators are all encouraged to take part, and we are particularly glad to hear again from experts who have contributed to previous waves of this quarterly study.

The discussion will cover current conditions and recent trends in your rental business, including demand patterns across equipment categories and end markets, fleet composition and utilisation, pricing and rate dynamics, capital expenditure and fleet investment plans, and how you work with original equipment manufacturers and suppliers. We will also explore your perceptions of the equipment brands you rent and buy, the factors that shape supplier selection, and any changes you are seeing in customer behaviour or competitive intensity in your local market. The aim is to build an accurate, ground-level picture of how the rental market is developing this quarter; there are no right or wrong answers, and we are simply looking for your candid, first-hand perspective.

The study takes the form of a short telephone survey of approximately 15 minutes, comprising roughly 20 to 25 structured questions with a small number of open-ended follow-ups. Fielding begins this week and will run over the following weeks, and calls can be scheduled at a time that suits you, including outside standard working hours. Participants receive an honorarium of USD 300 in recognition of their time. All responses are treated confidentially and reported only in aggregate; we do not ask for any confidential or proprietary information about your employer.
