Description

We are conducting a market study, on behalf of an institutional client of Woozle Research, into purchasing and prescribing dynamics across the advanced wound care and ostomy care markets. We are looking to speak with professionals who are directly involved in selecting, purchasing, stocking or recommending advanced wound care dressings or ostomy appliances and accessories. On the wound care side, this includes clinical and procurement decision-makers in large acute hospital systems, outpatient wound clinics, long-term care and skilled nursing facilities, home health providers and physician offices, as well as those working through pharmacy and home care channels. On the ostomy side, we are keen to hear from WOC/stoma care nurses, clinicians and commercial decision-makers in hospitals, outpatient clinics, home care providers, DME suppliers and distributors. Participants should have visibility of their organisation's or account's purchasing volumes and supplier relationships, work with products from more than one of the major international manufacturers, and be able to speak to developments over the past one to three years. We are speaking with experts based in the United States, Europe and selected other markets.

The discussion will cover recent volume and spend trends across the main product categories, the drivers behind any shifts, and expectations for growth over the next one to two years. We will explore pricing and reimbursement dynamics, including contract and tender negotiations, the degree of pricing pressure being applied to suppliers, and how net prices have moved across the supplier set. We will also discuss supplier selection and evaluation criteria, comparative perceptions of the leading manufacturers on areas such as clinical performance, value, sales and clinical education support, portfolio breadth and supply reliability, and the role of private label or lower-cost alternatives. Finally, we will touch on awareness and adoption of recent product launches across the category, patient and brand switching behaviour, and the factors that most influence which products patients start on and remain with.

The study is a 20-minute telephone interview, structured as a voice survey of roughly 25 to 30 mostly closed-ended questions with room for brief commentary. Interviews are being scheduled over the coming weeks at a time convenient to you. Participants receive an honorarium of GBP 100.00 in recognition of their time.
