Shift4 Channel Partners Survey

Project Type: Voice Survey

Honorarium: 150 USD

Time Commitment: 15 mins

Description

We are conducting a research study on behalf of an institutional client of Woozle Research, focused on the channel partner ecosystem in merchant payments and point-of-sale technology. We are looking to speak with professionals who currently work, or have recently worked, at organisations that resell, refer or distribute Shift4 payment solutions — including independent sales organisations, value-added resellers, integrated software vendors, payment facilitators, agent offices and hospitality or retail technology dealers. The most relevant respondents are those with direct, hands-on commercial responsibility for the partner relationship: owners and principals of agent or ISO businesses, heads of partnerships or channel sales, business development and account managers, and operations leaders who manage merchant onboarding, residuals and day-to-day support. You should have personal working knowledge of the economics and mechanics of the relationship rather than second-hand familiarity. Experience with competing acquirers, gateways or POS providers alongside Shift4 is helpful but not essential. We welcome participants across the United States as well as international markets where Shift4 solutions are distributed, and from partner organisations of any size, from single-office agents through to large national resellers.

The discussion will cover how channel partners evaluate and select the payment providers they work with, the commercial terms and economics that shape those decisions, and how partner programmes compare in practice on support, onboarding, technology fit and merchant retention. We will also explore recent trends in merchant demand, competitive dynamics in the vertical markets you serve, perceptions of the main providers in the space, and the circumstances under which partners add, reduce or shift volume between providers. The aim is to build a grounded, practitioner-level view of how this channel operates today. We are interested in your candid observations and experience; there are no right answers, and we are not seeking confidential or proprietary information from your employer.

The study is run as a short telephone survey with one of our researchers, lasting approximately fifteen minutes and following a concise set of structured questions with room for brief commentary. Calls are being scheduled now and over the coming weeks at a time convenient to you, and can be arranged outside normal working hours if preferred. Participants receive an honorarium of USD 150 on completion. Your responses are treated confidentially and reported only in aggregate or on an anonymised basis, and you are free to decline any question.
